RICHARD “Jaws” Kiel, pictured, certainly got his teeth into his latest starring role when he visited the New Forest.

Thousands of film fans queued to meet James Bond’s adversary, the steel-toothed Jaws from the movies The Spy Who Loved Me and Moonraker, when he made a personal appearance at the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu.

Together with his Moonraker girlfriend, Blanche “Dolly” Ravalec, Richard signed autographs, and posed for photographs with his legion of fans Richard had flown from his home in California, while Blanche came from France, to take part in the event, which coincided with the museum's display of vehicles from the 007 films.

Richard, now aged 73, is seven feet two inches tall and towered over the actor Roger Moore in the blockbuster movies.

“I always enjoy meeting fans of the films,” said Richard, who also signed copies of his autobiography, Making It BIG In the Movies.

“It is wonderful seeing all the James Bond vehicles on show, especially my favourite, 007’s underwater car, the Lotus Esprit.”
