FOR many Cherries fans the new football season can’t come soon enough.

In just a few weeks time we will know who AFC Bournemouth will be playing and on what day in the Championship.

With increased capacity to around 12,000 and already 4,500 season tickets sold, it should be a lucrative campaign for the once cash-strapped club.

But higher attendances will also inevitably bring more police to the Goldsands Stadium.

Let’s hope everyone is on their best behaviour when the top supported teams come visiting and the season ahead is a triumph on and off the pitch.
