ELEVEN cars were raided in one night by thieves in Corfe Castle.
Police in the Purbecks are appealing for witnesses after the cars were targeted between Tuesday 28 May and Wednesday 29 May 2013 in Higher Filbank, Battlemead, Collets Close and East Street in Corfe Castle and South Street in Kingston.
All the cars had been left unlocked. A chainsaw, a small quantity of cash and some clothing was stolen.
Purbeck Neighbourhood Inspector Fiona Gaffney, said: “I am appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to contact Dorset Police.
“I would also like to send a strong message to owners to remember to lock their cars and remove possessions when left unattended.
“Such crimes have been on the increase in this area however in most cases the vehicles have been left insecure.”
Witnesses and anyone with information should call Dorset Police in confidence on 101 and quote crime number C:13:D:20763. Alternatively, call the free and anonymous Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111 where mobile phone tariffs may apply.
