POLICE searched Bournemouth town centre this afternoon following reports that a man was walking around with his trousers down.
There were sightings of the man, who was believed to be drunk, in Bournemouth Gardens and near Lansdowne Baptist Church.
Readers on Twitter reported him on Old Christchurch Road "struggling with his belt".
A passer-by in the gardens contacted the Echo and said the man was becoming a nuisance to people and was climbing and falling over walls.
A police spokesman said they first received a call at 9.30am and police had searched for the man but had not been able to catch up with him.
The spokesman said CCTV was being monitored as well.
He confirmed that it appeared that the man's trousers were too big for him and it was not thought that an offence was being committed, but officers would speak with the man in question.
