A MAJOR Poole road was closed this morning after a car overturned.
Lindsay Road was shut between County Gates and Wilderton Road after the Audi hit a lamp post.
It has now re-opened.
Police on the scene told the Daily Echo that there were not believed to be any serious injuries.
A spokesman added that officers were called at 5.26am and a man had been treated by an ambulance crew before being taken to Poole Hospital.
The road was closed for around three hours while the car was removed, the lamp post made safe and the carriageway cleared of debris, meaning rush hour drivers had to divert.
