UNATTENDED cooking that caught light caused firefighters to be called to a flat on the East Cliff, Bournemouth, on Sunday morning.
Crews from Westbourne and Springbourne were sent to Derby Road at 12.30am.
They discovered a small fire in the kitchen and isolated and removed the cooking that was on fire.
The damage was confined to the food and the flat only suffered light damage.
Fire crews are revisiting the area this week to issue fire safety advice to residents.
