Kate Harrington, 27, from Bournemouth also went under the clippers at the weekend, shaving her head to raise money for wildlife charity Born Free.
A spur-of-the-moment decision, Kate brought along a few friends for moral support as stylist Darren Hayward from Scissors in Christchurch took the clippers to her head.
And although the feat was for charity, it was a tough moment for Kate seeing her long brunette hair fall to the floor.
She was left with just a bit of fuzz from her grade one hairstyle.
She said: “I was a bit scared as to what I was going to find underneath all this hair.
“It feels cold and really light. It’s a shock but I’m sure I will get used to it. It’s all for a good cause so as long as I raise lots of money it will be worth it.
“I chose Born Free because I’m a massive animal lover; I actually prefer them to people I think. It’s a great cause.”
