POOLE fire station has hosted the town’s annual safer partnership networking event.
Civic officials, emergency services and NHS representatives were among those attending the Safer Poole Partnership meeting.
Poole Fire Station Commander Phil Allen, pictured, said: “We are all conscious of the financial constraints public bodies have to cope with.
“By sharing information and good practice the various agencies can, for instance, ensure they’re not undertaking work that’s already been done by others and recognise the opportunities to save money too.
“For us, the opportunity to ensure everyone is aware that Dorset Fire and Rescue Service (DFRS) offers free home fie safety checks was a real bonus.”
Borough of Poole leader Cllr Elaine Atkinson, pictured, thanked DFRS for hosting the event. She added: “As a great believer in the added value that partnership working brings, I was delighted to see so many stands showcasing the achievements of partnership working and improving quality of life in Poole.”
