A MAN was taken to hospital after firefighters had to cut him free from his car on the Wessex Way in Bournemouth on Tuesday night.
Firefighters from Springbourne, Westbourne and Christchurch were called to the A338, between Cooper Dean and Springbourne, at around 10pm after a black VW Golf, registered to a Bournemouth man, and an 18-tonne MAN lorry, registered to a Buckinghamshire company, collided.
The heavy rescue appliance from Blandford was also called to the scene, on the northbound carriageway.
Fire crews removed the car’s roof to release the man and he was taken to hospital.
Police closed a section of the road while they dealt with the scene and said the man suffered minor injuries.
The road was reopened at around 11pm.
