She's not known for excessive swearing or rude jokes, but visitors to the Peppa Pig World Facebook page have been getting a bit of a surprise over the last two days.
Hackers have acessed the official page for the theme park and keep posting spam links and pictures. See the Peppa Pig World page here.
A message on the Paulton's Park Facebook page says: "Unfortunately the Peppa Pig World Facebook page has been compromised. We are looking into the situation asap, please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused."
The hackers first took control of Peppa on Monday and have posted several messages, spam links and pictures since, including one picture of the Teletubbies.
Irate parents are demanding free tickets in compensation for what they say are "inappropriate" messages on a page "aimed at children", although Facebook's policy is that children under 13 should not have a profile.
Staff from the attraction, based at Paulton's Park near Romsey, have been working with Facebook to track down the culprits, but admit they are no nearer to identifying the source of the messages.
Among the posts left on the website, which is liked by almost 140,000 parents and their children, were messages containing swear words and rude jokes.
In a statement, Peppa Pig World said: “Unfortunately the Peppa Pig World Facebook page has been hacked by an unknown source.
“We are currently working with Facebook and doing everything we can to resolve the issue.
“Although we are not responsible for this we apologise for what is frustratingly out of our control.”
