THE essence of the Badger beers brand has been captured for a new roundabout sculpture in Blandford.
Three badgers, created from galvanised chicken wire, were recently installed on the roundabout near Hall & Woodhouse, brewer of Badger beers in time for the firm’s Founder’s Day celebrations on June 7.
Local artist Helen Godfrey was approached to design the sculpture and the roundabout has now been sown with native chalkland wild flowers and grass seeds to complement the badgers.
Hall & Woodhouse managing director Anthony Woodhouse said: “The Badger ales logo is one of the oldest trademarks in the UK and badgers have featured in the Hall & Woodhouse company logo for more than 100 years.
“We are all proud of this long-established identity.”
