TODAY is the last day of rehearsals for Bodies in Urban Spaces, a human sculpture trail through Bournemouth.
The show itself, which will see a number of human bodies squeezed into the nooks and crannies of the finest landmarks in Bournemouth, will be performed on Saturday and Sunday at 12pm and 4pm each day.
By cramming themselves into doorways, alcoves and any gap they can find, the performers offer different and often hilarious interpretations of urban architecture.
“Bodies in Urban Spaces is a fantastic showcase for everything Pavilion Dance South West stands for.
It offers community dancers the opportunity to perform with a team of professionals, while presenting an unusual physical performance in unusual spaces, true to our motto for the summer season, ‘Unusual Dance in Unusual Spaces’,” explains Michaela Shaw, Participation and Outreach Coordinator at Pavilion Dance South West.
You can see an outdoor performance of the free show by meeting outside the Pavilion Dance main entrance at 12pm and 4pm.
