A MAN whose body was pulled from the icy sea at a Bournemouth beach on March 11 drowned himself, an inquest heard.
Robert Wray, 54, who was a successful businessman until a car crash in 1996 which left him with brain damage, was staying near Alum Chine beach in his second home at Pirbright House at West Cliff Gardens.
The body of the former operations manager and father-of-two of Prestwood, Buckinghamshire, was dragged out of the sea fully clothed at around 7.30am by dog walker Neil Dowden and cyclist Tom Card, a former Dorset Police sergeant, who administered CPR and called the paramedics.
He was later pronounced dead at Poole Hospital.
Coroner Sheriff Payne recorded a verdict of suicide.
