IT was the hottest weekend of the year so far.
People packed the beaches as they enjoyed the scorching temperatures.
And the sizzling weather with wall-to-wall sunshine was a guaranteed shot in the arm for tourism in Dorset.
But the downside was the litter some sun worshippers left behind.
On Saturday night at Bournemouth beach near the pier rubbish was strewn across the sands including discarded cans, bottles and cartons.
The message to those who dump such items should be a simple one.
Leave the beach exactly as you find it.
