A jogger suffered serious injuries when he was violently attacked by two men.
The 34-year-old victim suffered a broken jaw, fractured cheekbone and fractured eye socket in the assault, which took place in Spur Hill Avenue in Parkstone at 6.30pm on Friday July 12.
The man told police he was repeatedly punched and officers have appealed for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
Detective Sergeant Shaun Inkpen, of Bournemouth and Poole CID, said: “I need to establish what exactly happened.
“I am appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this alleged attack, or may have information about those involved, to contact Dorset Police in confidence.
“I would also like to speak with anyone who may have seen a group of youths in the area prior to the reported assault taking place.”
Two 16-year-old boys, one from Bournemouth and another from Christchurch, have been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and released on bail pending further enquiries.
