A MAN suffered a broken collar bone after he was assaulted in Boscombe on Saturday.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident, which took place between 11pm and 11.15pm outside the Portman Hotel pub in Ashley Road.
The 36-year-old victim, from Bournemouth, also suffered a possible fracture to his jaw.
Detective Constable Siobhan Lovering, of Bournemouth and Poole CID, said: “This was a nasty attack on a man outside a pub situated on a busy main road.
“Although this assault happened late at night, I am confident there may be someone who saw this incident take place, or may have information about those responsible.
“I am particularly keen to speak with a woman who came forward and helped the victim after the attack.
“Anyone who may be able to assist is urged to call Dorset Police in confidence.”
