FIREFIGHTERS were called out this morning to tackle a patch of heath alight on army land at Bovington.
They were sent out at 9.31am and were able to put out the fire in a patch of undergrowth before it spread.
An area of land around five metres by two metres was damaged.
It is thought it started due to a bonfire lit by troops last night.
