A PEAL of bells to celebrate the royal birth will take place at Wimborne Minster today at 5.45pm and is expected to last for around three hours.
Churchwarden Anthony Oliver said: “We always ring the bells at the Minster for special occasions – the last time was the diamond jubilee.
He added: “This afternoon the ringing method is known as Cambridge Surprise Major and was composed by Charles Middleton in 1873, both of which are aptly named for this particular occasion!”
