YEAR six pupils at St Mary’s RC School should have brought home their SAT results recently.
But they couldn’t, because the school has had its results suppressed amid an inquiry over possible maladministration.
The word maladministration can cover a lot of things, from an administrative blunder to deliberate cheating. And of course, there could be no foundation to the fears.
But in the first year that almost all of Poole’s pupils all move up to secondary school at the end of Key Stage 2, this experience will have soured the end of primary school for a lot of families.
