A pensioner was hit in the face in a row over parking in Christchurch.
The 69-year-old had just pulled into a parking bay in car park behind Marks and Spencer off Sopers Lane when a woman sat on the bonnet of her car to stop her from parking.
A man came over to join in the dispute and the pensioner sustained facial injuries.
The incident happened at around 11.20am on Monday. The offenders left together in a silver Kia estate car.
Police Constable Matt Constable, of Christchurch police, said: “It was broad daylight at the time and the town was very busy.
“I believe there were a number of people nearby who witnessed the altercation and I appeal for them to come forward – to help us establish exactly what happened.”
The first offender is described as a white middle aged woman wearing a red and orange top. The second offender is a white middle aged man with short brown hair and he was wearing a grey top.
PC Constable continued: “I am keen to speak to anyone who has information that can assist with the investigation.”
