POLICE are hunting a van driver who failed to stop after colliding with two cyclists within minutes of each other.
In the first incident, at 4pm on Thursday, July 18, a van was involved in a collision with a cyclist in Stalbridge High Street.
An 11-year-old boy from Stalbridge was knocked off his bike and sustained minor injuries.
A few minutes earlier the same van was involved in another collision with a different cyclist in the Barrow Hill area of Stalbridge.
The cyclist, a local man in his twenties, also sustained minor injuries.
The van has been described as a blue sign-written transit type van with a stripe on it.
Police Constable Phil Sugrue, of Sturminster Newton police, said: “I would urge the driver to do the right thing and make contact with police.
“I am appealing for witnesses and anyone with information about these two incidents to contact Dorset Police as soon as possible.
“All calls will be treated in the strictest of confidence.”
