A RINGWOOD woman who has donated blood 105 times has urged others to do the same.
Anne Williams was given a special presentation recently by seven-year-old Lydia McConnell, who had received 89 blood transfusions during treatment for a brain tumour.
The youngster is now in complete remission. Anne, who is a member of Trinity Church in Ringwood, said: “Although I have no idea whether any of my blood was used for Lydia I feel proud of the fact that many other people have benefited, and who knows, I might want some back myself one day.
“I will keep going for as long as they want me, especially as it all takes place at Trinity just down the road.”
