A CLIFF fall has taken place at West Bay.
The slip has taken place at East Cliff between West Bay and Freshwater Beach Holiday Park.
Coastguards said no one has been injured in the landslip.
The fall is believed to have left part of the cliff leaving an overhang.
The coastal path goes across the top of the cliff.
Dorset County Council’s emergency planning office confirmed they had sent a team including scientists to assess the cliff fall and evaluate what would need to be done.
They said the fall is not a major one and have put signs up on the beach and on the coastal path.
They encouraged people to enjoy the beach but to be vigilant.
Coastguards urged people to take care along the coastline.
They said that people should be aware even though it had been sunny recently that there had been torrential rain earlier this year.
A spokesman said: “The whole of the coastline is extremely fragile.”
He added: “If you are going to walk the beach, walk along the shoreline.
“Enjoy, but be conscious it’s fragile.”
The latest fall comes almost a year to the day that 22-year-old holidaymaker Charlotte Blackman was killed by a cliff fall in the same area.
