THE hit tribute show New Jersey Nights will play the Bournemouth Pavilion on its world tour from Tuesday to Saturday.
Not to be mistaken for the West End musical on a similar theme – Jersey Boys – the New Jersey Nights show celebrates the music of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons by taking the audience on a nostalgic musical journey through a career that began in a back-street studio in New Jersey.
A cast of singers and dancers and an on-stage band will perform such hits as Sherry, Rag Doll, Big Girls Don’t Cry, Walk Like A Man, Let’s Hang On, Who Loves You, My Eyes Adored You, December ’63 (Oh What A Night) and Fallen Angel.
Frankie Valli is now aged 79 and still tours, although he was forced to cancel a gig at the BIC in June due to illness.
He and the Four Seasons rose to stardom in the late 1950s and early 1960s.
Their hits from 1962 to 1978 sold more than 100 million records.
