The BSO concert at the events space last month
BOURNEMOUTH’S new open-air events space will be finished and ready for its official launch on Monday, council bosses have promised.
The stage will be going up at the Pier Approach arena this weekend and a month-long programme of events will start on Monday.
Mark Smith, tourism director, said: “The Pier Approach events space is on track for our first show on Monday evening.
“The stage is going up over the weekend and the contractors on the site have worked hard to get things ready in time. This arena will be a great place for people to enjoy and visit. There is a fantastic programme of acts running throughout the summer with something for everyone.”
The programme of free events includes dance, music and movies.
