A WOMAN suffered serious injuries after being in collision with a car in Verwood on Saturday evening.
The incident took place in Newtown Road, Verwood around 6.30pm.
A silver Vauxhall Astra, driven by a 54-year-old woman from Verwood was in collision with the 21-year-old female pedestrian, also from Verwood.
The pedestrian suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries and was taken to Poole General Hospital for treatment.
The road was closed for investigators to examine the scene.
Witnesses are asked to contact PC Chris Wales at Poole Traffic Department on 101.
