POOLE’S Brianna Stubbs added another big achievement to her rowing CV by securing a gold medal at the World Under-23 Championships in Austria today.
Stubbs, together with Great Britain team-mate Eleanor Piggott, won the lightweight women’s double scull title at the prestigious event.
The 22-year-old, who studies at Oxford University, is a former Parkstone Grammar School pupil.
In 2004, Stubbs hit the headlines as a 12-year-old when she became the youngest person to row across the English Channel.
