EMERGENCY services were called to a road accident involving a lorry and a car on the A35 near the Baker’s Arms roundabout earlier today.
Dorset Police said nobody was injured in the accident, that happened around 11.25am west of the Bakers Arms.
The vehicles involved were a Iveco lorry registered to a Norfolk company and a grey Ford Mondeo registered to a man from Surrey.
Police and paramedics were called to the scene and the local authority was informed because of glass and fluid on the highway.
At one point the car, that needed to be recovered, was partially blocking the A35 and causing significant tailbacks in both directions.
The accident has now been cleared and traffic is moving smoothly again.
