A CHRISTCHURCH primary school has received a welcome boost months after they were downgraded by Ofsted.
The Priory School in Christchurch have been graded good by Church of England inspectors following a disappointing Ofsted report published in March.
The inspection by The National Society who inspect Anglican and Methodist schools, said the leadership team are committed to improving standards.
One of the school’s strengths is the “Christian values which permeate the school” and the partnership with the local churches and parents.
Head teacher Claire King said: “We've had an unusual and really busy year which has included three inspections.
“Our teaching team has consisted of four substantive teachers and three supply teachers.
“As I look back on the past year I can identify so many things that we can proud of.
“Our team has been a great team full of spirit and resilience.
“The experiences this year have shown us not just that every child matters which is our school motto, but that people matter.
“The relationships forged make the work more meaningful and we have been lucky with the people who have joined our team this year and with the community of parents and governors that continue to support us.”
