A woman was evacuated by lifeboat for medical treatment from a vessel in Studland Bay in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
Both Poole RNLI lifeboats launched just before 1am to help with the incident.
Portland Coastguard requested both boats to launch to a sailing barge that was anchored in the bay with a female crew member suffering reported injuries to her lower back and pelvis.
RNLI crews administered first aid and the crew successfully transferred her onto the all-weather lifeboat.
She was taken to Poole Quay where an ambulance took her to hospital.
