THE illegal travellers at Canford Heath in Poole are likely to be ordered to leave by Friday, council official say.
Borough of Poole officers are due in court tomorrow in a bid to secure an eviction notice.
Scores of residents have complained about the Verity Park encampment, which includes at least 15 caravans.
Meanwhile, council workers said the travellers who vacated Whitecliff, Poole, on Monday evening left the site needing only a “minimal” clean up.
“The exact whereabouts of this group of travellers is not known.
Borough of Poole officials, including an animal welfare officer, visited the Verity Park encampment yesterday morning to speak to travellers refuse collection and dog control.
The council also says it is aware of issues surrounding noise from generators and mini-motorbikes onsite.
Borough of Poole team manager Jeff Morley said: “We are using the legal process to ensure the travellers are evicted from Verity Park.
“Court time is booked for this Thursday and – subject to the eviction order being granted – the travellers will have to vacate the site by Friday.”
Mr Morley confirmed site security has been increased at Whitecliff to deter any future access following the departure of the travellers from that site earlier in the week.
He added: “The Whitecliff site clean-up was minimal as the travellers took the TV sets and placed all their domestic refuse in black bags and left them by the waste bins.”
Rubbish bags have been distributed at the encampment.
