THE emergency services were called to the Blandford bypass this evening after a car left the road and collided with a tree.
Police said they were called at 7pm. The fire service and ambulance service were also called.
A police spokesman said the female driver of the Peugeot 206 was being treated by an ambulance crew and was conscious and breathing.
A Dorset Fire and Rescue spokesperson said two fire crews attended the crash between the Salisbury Road and Wimborne Road roundabouts.
They said the vehicle hasd left the road and ended up in undergrowth.
Firefighters removed the roof of the vehicle using hydraulic cutting equipment . A female casualty who was medically trapped was placed on a spinal board and transferred to hospital by ambulance.
