FULL details of the evening programme at this year’s Bournemouth Air Festival have been confirmed.
Night Air sees entertainment and events at Bournemouth and Boscombe Piers, the Lower Gardens and town centre.
For the first time there will be three dusk air displays – on Thursday, August 29 – the event’s first day – as well as on the Friday and Saturday nights.
The SWIP Team Twister Duo return to light up the skies with their swooping displays, O’Brien’s Flying Circus are back with a crazy routine, and, in a Night Air first, the Red Devils are performing three night jumps, complete with glow sticks and dazzling pyrotechnics.
There will also be spectacular fireworks on the Saturday night to finish things off with a bang.
Air festival director Jon Weaver said: “There are three fantastic nights of Dusk Air Displays this year, including the amazing Red Devils who will be performing dazzling jumps with glow sticks and pyrotechnics – a sight not to be missed.
“There is also a brilliant entertainment line up at the two Piers – tickets are still available for Boscombe Pier but are selling fast, so make sure you get yours today.”
As reported in the Daily Echo, The Corona Night Air stage, in association with Wave 105, will host a selection of fantastic performers on the Friday and Saturday.
With tickets at £7, acts include Blue, The Feeling, Stooshe, Lucy Spraggan, Diana Vickers, Kodaline, Johnny Hates Jazz, Neon Jungle and Gabriella Cilmi.
Bournemouth Pier will showcase tribute acts and the East Overcliff will come see the Band of HM Royal Marines Collingwood bringing regal rhythms and visual splendour to entertain the crowds.
The Royal Marines Combat Display Team will also be demonstrating their unarmed combat skills.
The Lower Gardens will also be filled with family entertainment - from traditional Punch and Judy performances to stilt walkers and face painting.
Tickets for the Boscombe concerts can be bought through BH Live Tickets on 0844 576 3000 or by visiting bhlivetickets.co.uk.
