THE grounds of Upton Country Park will again be hosting the Poole Town and Country Show this weekend.
This will be the fifth annual event where town and country pursuits meet in the glorious grounds of Poole’s stately home.
“We hope to repeat the great turnout achieved in previous years,” said Emma Owen, director of Oakleigh Fairs.
The two day event will include displays of falconry and birds of prey, Totally Ponies – miniature ponies to groom and tack up – Purbeck Gun Dogs display team, Wessex Ferrets and Totally Terriers racing, children’s farm, Suffolk Punch horses, the Swords of Chivalry Medieval Village and Fighting Knights and much more.
There will be demonstrations of traditional skills, stalls, a Companion Dog Show on Sunday for which the proceeds go to Marie Curie Cancer Care.
Music from the Celtic Swing will play throughout the weekend and there will be much more to enjoy from 10am to 5pm both days. Advance discounted tickets are available from oakleighfairs.co.uk.
