MY BOOK of the week is Stitch Head – The Spider’s Lair by children’s author Guy Bass. It is the fourth book in the popular series featuring Stitch Head, a long forgotten, almost-human creature created by a frightfully insane professor.
This story has Stitch Head leaving Grotteskew and its creatures behind and setting out on a daring rescue. But a gruesome monster awaits and soon Stitch Head is trapped in its web with no chance of escape.
It’s another madcap adventure and great fun. Guy Bass is a Blue Peter Funniest book award winner and recently had everyone in fits of laughter when he appeared at Poulner Junior School.
Since then all his books have been on our kids best-seller table. We are now delighted to welcome him back to Ringwood at the Seven Fish Bar and Grill where he will be performing, reading and signing books in two sessions on Monday, August 5 at 2pm and 4.30pm and demand is sure to be high. If you fancy coming along prepare to have your rib tickled.
Tickets for the event are £4 for children, which include a free drink and cake or cookie and a £3 voucher to use against a book purchase on the day. Adults are free to enter. Ring Paperview on 01425489364 for tickets or further enquiries.
