A MAN from West Lulworth had to be taken to hospital for an emergency operation after a hit and run crash in West Lulworth.
A Dorset Police spokesman said the man was walking through Main Road in the village at 2.15am on Saturday morning when he was struck by the car.
She said:"Police are appealling for witnesses after a pedestrian was injured in a collision with a car and received serious injuries.
"The car failed to stop at the scene.
"The incident happened at 2.15am on Saturday, August 3 in Main Street in West Lulworth.
"The victim, a local male from the village, aged in his 20s, received serious injuries and as a result required a surgical procedure at hospital."
Any witnesses or with information about the identity of the driver at the time of the incident can contact the Weymouth Traffic Department on 101,quoting incident number 321 of the August 3.
