MARK Owen, The Levellers and Grandmaster Flash wowed the crowds in the glorious sunshine at the multi-award winning Camp Bestival in Lulworth on Saturday.
Castle Stage headliners the Levellers gave a high-powered set and whipped the crowd into frenzy with their hit song, What A Beautiful Day. Take That star Mark Owen gave a rare solo performance and DJ Grandmaster Flash stole the show with his eclectic mix of cult hip-hop classics and modern samples.
Thousands of revellers gathered at 10.30am on Saturday morning to take part in a Guinness World Record Attempt for launching the most paper planes simultaneously. Kirsty Stoutt, 40, from Bournemouth said: “This is exactly why we love Camp Bestival so much, there is just so much to do and loads on to keep the kids entertained all day.”
Rob da Bank’s wonderful brainchild offers an eclectic mix of live music, comedy, literary talks, theatre and children’s entertainment. Soulful songstress Gabrielle Aplin won the crowd over with her stunning cover of The Power of Love.

Camp Bestival is the offshoot to the Isle of Wight’s 24-hour monster, Bestival, and caters primarily for families with activities including a dinosaur petting zoo, Brit School and circus workshops.
