DARTH Vader will be among the many guests at the annual Free 999 Family Fun Day.
If you’re stuck for ideas for entertaining the kids this summer, this is one day out which never disappoints.
The event will be held at the LV=Streetwise interactive safety centre at Elliott Road, West Howe, Bournemouth on Sunday August 11 from 11am until 4pm.
Emergency services will be represented with police, fire and ambulance displays, a fire demonstration and entertainment from street dancers and live aerial rescue demos.
Little ones will love having their faces painted or playing on the bouncy castle and there will also be the chance to meet Mr Merlin and Okey Dokey the Dragon as well as Darth Vader and his Storm Troopers.
Children will learn how to be safe while having fun at the same time.
The fun day is supported by emergency services as well as Bournemouth, Poole and Dorset councils, Gold Driving Academy, City Fibre and Gigler.
And there will be a party atmosphere with music from DJ Kev and a barbecue.
The LV=Streetwise centre is an award-winning safety centre built to raise awareness of everyday hazards.
It is set out as a village with scenarios including a full-sized house, a railway station, a beach and a building site.
Since it opened in 1999 more than 180,000 children have been shown how to stay safe.
There’s no need to book for the fun day – just turn up and enjoy it.
