THE A30 Salisbury Road in Shaftesbury has reopened following an earlier collision.
Two vehicles were involved in the crash, and traffic queued westbound between the B3081 Higher Blandford Road junction and the A350 junction for much of the afternoon and early evening.
There was some smoke blowing across the road as a result of the crash.
A spokesperson from Dorset Police said a grey Seat Leon and a grey Mitsubishi pick-up collided at around 4.54pm.
Although police, fire and ambulance crews attended, it is not thought the crash is serious.
Both vehicles were recovered.
