MOTORISTS involved in a crash which closed a North Dorset road for several hours yesterday received only minor injuries.
Police, fire and ambulance crews were called to a two-car crash on the A30 Yeovil Road in Sherborne on Sunday evening.
The road was closed both ways between the A352 Horsecastles Lane junction and the Bradford Road junction until late last night.
A silver VW Passat Estate and a blue Ford KA were involved.
Police were called just after 5pm, and were at the scene at 5.10pm.
Two fire engines from Sherborne were at the scene and fire fighters used two sets of hydraulic cutting equipment to remove the roof of the KA as the driver was trapped.
A Dorset Police spokesperson said: "There is a lot of fluid from the vehicles on the road."
