RAIL fares are on the rise and, not surprisingly, rail users are unhappy at the proposed extra costs.
A standard-class season ticket from Bournemouth to London will increase from £5,988 a year to £6,233 from January 14 and to £6,489 the next year.
It’s not going to encourage too many people to get out of their cars and use public transport.
And while cycling might well be the answer for some, those that can’t get on their bike for a variety of reasons will definitely be feeling the pinch over the next year or so.
