AS council officials prepare to go to court tomorrow to seek an eviction notice, two more caravans have turned up at a children’s play area in Bournemouth.
There has been an illegal encampment at Riggs Gardens, Turbary Common, since last Friday and the borough council has pledged to “do all they can” to move the travellers on.
The travellers were given notice of a hearing date tomorrow and council officers are continuing to visit the site on a regular basis to monitor the situation.
A council spokesman said the arrival of two more caravans would not in any way affect the council’s plans to take eviction action through the courts.
