FOUR divers were airlifted to Poole on Sunday afternoon for emergency treatment.
The first incident took place at 1.15pm when the helicopter from Lee-on-Solent was called to meet a diver from West Bay after a dive from a local charter boat.
The 38-year-old man was airlifted to Poole Helicopter Landing site at Whitecliff Recreation Ground, and was met by an ambulance, dive doctor and Poole Coastgaurd Rescue Officers before he was transferred to the recompression chamber for treatment.
Shortly after, Portland Coastguard received a call from Southwest Ambulance, via the Aeronautical Rescue Co-ordination Centre, requesting the coastguard helicopter be sent to Chepstow, Monmouthshire to recover three divers who had been diving in a quarry.
The divers were airlifted to Whitecliff before they were also transferred to the chamber for treatment.
