MEMBERS of Dorset’s Youth Parliament have voiced their concerns about cyber-bullying at a meeting with the county’s Police and Crime Commissioner.
Martyn Underhill also spoke to the five young people about exam stress during a two-hour meeting at Winfrith HQ.
Mr Underhill said: “I am delighted to have met the members of Dorset Youth Parliament.
“I believe strongly in young people having the chance to express themselves. Cyber-bullying was a key concern for the members at today’s meeting. I told them that it is vital that young people confide in someone if they are being bullied online.
“We must all work together on identifying and intercepting problems early on, before they become a crisis.”
Eve Laird from UKYP said: “We are keen to help students with anxiety and are planning a ‘Stress Less’ day to give teenagers, parents and teachers the advice they need to spot the signs of stress.”
