TWO men were arrested after fleeing from police when their speeding vehicle was pulled over in Christchurch on Sunday night.
Officers pulled over the white car derived van which was speeding along Stour Road around 9.35pm.
The driver and passenger stopped but then tried to flee the vehicle and escape from officers.
One man, whose details are currently unknown, was arrested at the scene.
A second man ran off towards Tuckton Bridge.
Police, including the helicopter and a dog unit, searched the area, arresting a 37-year-old man from Christchurch in the rear garden of a property on Kings Avenue around 11.10pm.
He was arrested on suspicion of driving a motor vehicle whilst unfit.
The 37-year-old man has been released on bail until late September.
