AN INQUEST is due to be opened tomorrow nto the death of musician and scout leader Rob Bawdon.
Mr Bawdon's body was found at Hengistbury Head last Tuesday, August 13.
It has been reported that a gun was involved in his death.
The coroner is expected to give the results of a post-mortem at tomorrow's hearing.
Police were called to grassland near Solent Beach at around 6.20am after a member of the public found the body.
His death is not being treated as suspicious.
Hundreds have now paid tribute to Mr Bawdon, who was a leader of the 47th Braggers Wood Explorers, part of the Christchurch District Explorers, as well as a member of popular band Lady Winwoods Maggot.
On the band's Facebook page, devastated parents Stephanie and Dennis have written their thanks for the support they have received.
The message said: “Dennis and I are overwhelmed by all the tributes and warmth shown by all the fans, both to him and us.
“A big thank you at all.”
