ELLIS Jones Partner David McWilliam has been re-accredited to The Law Society Personal Injury Accreditation Scheme.

Only solicitors who meet the stringent requirements are permitted to join the scheme.

David, who is Head of Personal Injury at the Dorset and New Forest law firm, is one of 12 solicitors on the scheme in Dorset.

He first gained accreditation back in 2003.

Re-accreditation involved demonstrating special competence in the field of personal injury law to the satisfaction of the Solicitors Regulation Authority.

David deals with all accident claims including road traffic accidents, trips and slips, employers liability and claims involving head and spinal injuries.

“Government reforms to personal injury cases have had an impact but we continue to act for injured clients and secure the compensation that they’re legally entitled to,” said David.

He added: “It’s particularly important that solicitors acting in our area of expertise work to the highest possible standards. The Personal Injury Accreditation Scheme provides our clients with that assurance.”
