ARSONISTS are believed to have targeted and torched two vehicles belonging to a Poole landscaping garden company in an early morning attack.

Police are investigating the incident after Christine Green, owner of Croft Gardening, was awoken at 3am to find that both of her work vehicles were ablaze outside of her home at Benbow Crescent in Poole.

A distraught Mrs Green said: “We were able to claim some of our money back from the vehicles on insurance, but we had to spend a lot of money on getting two new vehicles up and running as quickly as possible and our premiums have now gone through the roof.

“We’ve definitely been targeted, because no other cars in the area were affected.”

Mrs Green says she has been the victim of other attacks in the past.

She said: “A piece of stone edging was thrown through the windscreen of one of our vehicles and a metal bar was thrown through our pond net, killing our fish. I just can’t think of anyone who would do this.”

A Dorset Police spokesman said: “An incident occurred at Benbow Crescent on August 13 between 2.45am and 2.54am, causing extensive damage to two vehicles.

“The investigation into this incident is still ongoing.”
