THE issue of illegal camps of travellers in Dorset over the past few weeks has been well-documented by the Echo.
In a week’s time- once the Bournemouth Air Festival and the Great Dorset Steam Fair have ended – the travellers may well have moved on.
But that doesn’t mean the problem has gone away. There needs to be a strategy to deal with future incursions and a lasting solution drawn up by the local authorities which is beneficial to all parties.
That may well prevent a repeat of what has happened in the conurbation this summer.
