THE newest member of the expanding ŠKODA family, the Rapid Spaceback, has officially joined the line-up.
The first customer cars have left the production line at the brand’s main factory in Mladá Boleslav in the Czech Republic.
The Rapid Spaceback will receive its world premiere at the Frankfurt Motor Show on Tuesday, September 10, and launch at retailers across Europe from October. The car will be on-sale in the UK early 2014.
JAGUAR is promising even more luxury in its updated 2014 XJ.
It says there will be enchanced luxury features for rear passengers, as well as more engine choices.
There will also be a long wheelbase version and a super-hot 550ps XJR.
From 2014, all engines will feature stop/start technology, delivered through Jaguar’s eight-speed automatic gearbox.
UK car manufacturing grew by seven per cent in July, with sites across Britain making 128,873 units, according to the latest figures from the SMMT.
Year-to-date volumes were up 1.9 per cent to 893,263 units.
The home market demand shot up 37.5 per cent in the month to support new plate change in September.
